The timeless beauty of this Lake WA Blvd E Seattle estate evokes an understated elegance that will last for generations to come. With the help of our creative team, Element Homes designed and built a home that strikes the perfect balance between modern and contemporary—and beautifully celebrates earthy colours, unique lighting fixtures, detailed architectural features, and an abundance of natural textures.
Combining modern and contemporary design sensibilities, the family rooms feature neutral colorways, rich textures, and statement lighting—along with cosy fireplaces that complement each room's architectural details. In one of the family rooms, the natural stone fireplace surround and floors nod to the overall ethos of the space, bringing in a touch of natural texture that further accentuates the room's cosy vibe. Coordinated unique yet cohesive lighting fixtures lend an elevated yet timeless look. Both family rooms open to the outdoor area to let the light flood the interior and create an indoor/outdoor living environment.
A square mahogany table in the dining room offers an intimate meal spot. The wooden plaster walls and built-in cabinets in deep, rich patina lend a masculine touch to the room's contemporary vibe, while the Parsons chairs in the leather finish give the seating arrangement a pared-down profile. Furthermore, the wrought iron candle chandelier brings visual interest and dimension to the scheme of things.
An open floor plan with the kitchen to a cosy breakfast nook designed with life's best moments in mind—from a morning coffee to ketching up with a good book. Multiple pendant light fixtures anchor the wooden-marble island, and white wood cabinetry adds a sophisticated touch while providing tons of storage space. A coffered ceiling is a nice stylistic foil that defines this in-between entertaining area.
To create a bathroom that honoured the rest of the home's cosy aesthetic, Element Homes' creative team opted for warm neutral walls and classic white subway tiles. A mix of black, grey, and white square mosaic floor tiles balance out the room's formality, creating an overall look that's grounded yet visually striking. The arch-shaped window is one of the bathroom's most identifiable features that allow the limited but soft light to artfully stream across the interior.
The primary suite defines luxury with soothing blue walls to foster a good night's sleep, soft carpet underfoot, and its own private terrace that overlooks the lake scene below. Every item from the drapes, light fixtures, fabric armchair, and incredible bed framework in unison to deliver an overall contemporary impact.
